Proficiency Demonstration For Online Texas LTC

PRIVATE PROFICIENCY DEMONSTRATION AND RANGE QUALIFICATION: They are offered through Firearm Focus Academy in a one-on-one session to complete the LTC training.

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR RANGE IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS: Depending on your location and the weather, we have access to both indoor and outdoor ranges.

RANGE FEES INCLUDED: You can choose to use your firearm or not; either way, everything is included in the price. If you prefer we can provide a firearm and ammo.

IT TAKES ONLY 1.5 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE QUALIFICATION: 1 Hour for the mandated range instruction portion, then 1/2 hour for the fire proficiency demonstration.

This purchase is good for a proficiency demonstration for 1 to 4 students with Firearm Focus Academy LTC instructor, Mike Eckles. This is can be a private session or a group class. You will receive one-on-one instruction and guidance from the instructor.

Once purchased, you will be contacted by phone with a date and time. It must be between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Training takes place at different locations depends on the weather and your location. Tyler, Longview, Gilmore, Emory, Sulphur Springs, Mineola, and surrounding areas. I can schedule a session within 75 miles of Quitman, Texas

You must be able to safely handle and shoot your firearm before attending this class you should attend the online or in-person LTC class. The shooting qualification is not difficult, however you will be required to safely do the following without assistance:

  • Handle your handgun safely (follow all safety rules)
  • Load and unload your handgun
  • Shoot your handgun, following the directions given for the qualification course of fire

Pistol rentals with ammo are also available if you choose.

Qualification Course of Fire

Total of 50 rounds:

Stage 1: Twenty shots (20) will be fired from 3 yards – fired in 3 sages.
1. Five (5) shots fired in a “One Shot Exercise” 2 seconds allowed for each shot.
2. Ten shots (10) fired in a “Two Shot Exercise” 3 seconds allowed for each two-shot sequence.
3. Five (5) shots fired in 10 seconds

Stage 2: Twenty shots (20) will be fired from 7 yards – fired in 5 stages.
1. Five (5) shots will be fired in 10 seconds
2. Two (2) shots will be fired in 4 seconds
3. Three (3) shots will be fired in 6 seconds
4. Five (5) shots fired in a “One Shot Exercise” 3 seconds allowed for each shot.
5. Five (5) shots fired in 15 seconds.

Stage 2: Twenty shots (20) will be fired from 7 yards – fired in 5 stages.
1. Five (5) shots will be fired in 10 seconds
2. Two (2) shots will be fired in 4 seconds
3. Three (3) shots will be fired in 6 seconds
4. Five (5) shots fired in a “One Shot Exercise” 3 seconds allowed for each shot.
5. Five (5) shots fired in 15 seconds.

Students must score a minimum of 175 out of 250 possible points to pass the qualification.
